We had a fantastic day yesterday with the Education and Childhood and Families and Childhood Studies students for Day 1 of their Careers Event. It started with the Careers Advisers working with the groups – Neil delivered a session on CVs to half of the group, whilst Andrea worked on improving the students’ knowledge on Interview Skills, with each group swapping over afterwards.
The afteroon saw the Work Experience Officers, Lucy Jones and Sam Forde, taking the groups through the best ways to approach Application Forms and Job Searching.
There were probably a lot of tired students after a packed day yesterday, but we hope they have at least started to think about what they need to do to succeed out there in the graduate market. Good luck and well done everyone on your hard work!
